Maximus Prime

Aka Max, Maxter, Mad Max, Maximus Decimus Meridius…..

This little boy is blowing us away every single day!  He is learning new words and even saying sentences! He’s doing new big boy things, becoming more independent, and he still cracks me up every single day!

Some things Max is up to:

• he knows his shapes and some colors
• Can count to ten in English and Chinese
• Loves watching UP, Dispicable Me, and Ice Age.  For now anyways.  His favorite movies change week to week.
• He is in a BIG BOY BED!!  we made the switch in January.  It was rough for the first week, but now he is a pro!  He looks so old in his big boy bed. 
• He wants to do everything himself
• He has a big, loud, fun personality
• He loves dancing to any music he hears.  In the car, at the store, at home, wherever
• He loves to read books
• He is very interested in the potty and congratulates anyone who uses it.  He has gone pee pee a few times but isn’t fully ready to commit.  But I think we are getting close
• He’s started saying sentences.  Of course people can’t always understand him, but still!
• He loves to sing. He can usually be heard singing primary songs and Black Eyed Peas. 
• Max loves playing with Ky now that he can crawl
• He also gets annoyed that Ky wants to play with all his toys
• Every morning when we go to get Ky, Max steps up onto his crib and says “Hi brudder!  I missed you!”  Then Ky starts smiling and bouncing so I will get him out to play.
• My absolute favorite thing about Max is that we will be busy doing something and he will randomly tell me, “Mommy? I happy!”  It makes my day when he tells me this.  I want all his little days to be happy :-)
• He loves when Jeremy comes home from work.  The second he walks through the door Max with either pull him into the play room to play with trains, or bring him into our room and shut the door for some male bonding time with Daddy.

UTAH!

We got to travel home to Utah the first week of January to see these two get married!  We were so happy to be a part of Collin and Ally’s special day!

    

The airplane ride went better than I expected.  We brought Max’s car seat on the plane…. Best. Decision. Ever.  He didn’t ask to get out once!  He enjoyed watching movies and the fact that he got to eat all sorts of treats and play with trains.  Ky was a handful on our laps.  But no major meltdowns or poop outs and both boys napped a little, so I would consider that a good flight.

Max loved getting in the walker to watch movies.  I wish he wanted to do this at home.  It was nice to have him contained ;-)

 

 

Max LOVED playing with the doggies, puppies, cats, and cousins at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  He was so entertained by it all!  He especially loves Nikita.  He thought it was hilarious that she sits on command, so ever since we got back he commands our cat to sit.  Of course it doesn’t work.

SNOW!!! Max loved playing with cousins and puppies in the snow!  It doesn’t get much better than that for a two year old.  But it was absolutely frigid while we were there and so he didn’t last too long outside.  He also loved his new snow boots and wanted to wear them everywhere.

        

His glove fell off and his hands got snow on them.  He didn’t like it so much.

                                         

Sleeping!  We are always so crazy busy when we are home and the boys don’t seem to nap that great.  So they fell asleep in the car a lot.  Most of these are of Max because Kyler is facing rear:-) 

     

As always we had such a fun time with our families and friends! 

Playing in the Rain

A few weeks ago Max and I had so much fun playing in the rain!  We were completely soaked but he had so much fun jumping in puddles and running around in it.  Gotta love little boys.

 

Funny BOY

Today we had FOUR blackouts and it was super annoying!  The last two days the power has gone off at 6am and both times it has woke my boys up.  They sleep with fans for white noise and so the second the power goes off, Max wakes up screaming.  And then he wakes up Ky.  Awesome.  Anyways, today we had four power outages and the weather was in the 20’s outside which is freezing for Houston!!  This morning the boys were watching Dispicable Me and the power went off. Max immediately turned to Kyler and exclaimed “Ky Ky!  What did you do?!!”  Haha that kid cracks me up! 

A few days ago the weather was in the 70’s so Max and I ate lunch in the backyard together.  He thought it was so much fun that it was just me and him (Kyler was sleeping).  So there we sat, eating PB and J’s and cheetos.  The perfect little afternoon with the most perfect and cutest little two year old around.  Love him.
