Family Pictures

We had the chance to do a “Short and Sweet” session with an awesome photographer in a great location in down town Houston!  Christa was so much fun to work with and she did a great job!  All in all things went really well.  Max cooperated for the most part…  He is so exhausting when we take pictures though!  He just wants to take off and explore.  So the 35 minute short and sweet session was perfect because when our time was done, so was Max.  I absolutely love how they all turned out!  There are some great family ones to choose from.  Of course somehow my boys worked it out so that only one of them would be looking forward at a time while the other looks away.  Seriously!  We have like 10 darling family photos from this session but none that they both are looking forward and smiling.  Oh well.  I think as long as the boys are young we will never get the perfect photo of everyone looking forward and smiling.  But sometimes I think the pictures that aren’t perfect end up being the ones you love and remember forever.

Also, Mr. Max is still refusing to pose with baby K.  We tried to make him hold Kyler for a picture and Max refused.  At home he is nice to the baby and gives him kisses and talks to him.  But here we are at Kyler’s 6 month mark and Max STILL will not take a picture with his brother.  It makes me a little sad!  {sigh}  But enough about that.  Check out all these darling pictures!!!

2 Infinity and Beyond!

I FINALLY have time to blog about my Max and his special birthday a few weeks ago.  I can’t believe he is TWO!  He is our little fire cracker and we love him so much!

My Mom was able to come out for Max’s birthday and we had so much fun!  It was really nice to have family here for his birthday and Max loved spending time with his Nana.  For his special day we thought it would be fun for Max and few of his little friends to go to Jumpin’ Joeys.  It was very last minute, but I really wanted him to have a fun day.  And boy did he…. we partied HARD and he was completely exhausted by the time the day was over.   So we started off the day at Jumpin’ Joeys.  It’s a fun place that has all these inflatable bouncy house type things.  Max was in HEAVEN.  I took tons of pictures, but they all turned out blurry because he couldn’t contain himself long enough to hold still.  He had a blast!  After that we picked him up a kids meal from McDonalds and headed home for a nap.  Jeremy was able to work from home that day, so after Max woke up we opened up presents.  Max was spoiled by all our family and friends!  He was so animated about every single present he got and yelled “WOA!” as he opened them up.  Later that evening we met a few friends at the park for dinner and cake.  It was very last minute, and I know I said I was going to keep his birthday low key, but I just couldn’t help myself.  It was such a beautiful day.  Max had a blast running around with all of his friends and eating pizza and cake.  And he was totally excited that his cake, balloons, and even plates were all Toy Story.  Happy Happy Birthday Max!!!

Opening up presents:

His Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen gave him this orange dump truck and the darling “Top Dog” shirt he is wearing in the pic.  He has so much fun driving both the dump truck and bus around our house, up the stairs, and around the backyard.

Noah and Tayla gave him this yellow bus.  And Addy and Lyla gave him a Buzz and Woody.  It worked out perfectly because now Buzz and Woody go for rides in the bus all day long :-)

My parents gave him this sweet Toy Story Tent.  He loves hiding in it.  It has been the perfect back yard toy too.

And from his Mommy, Daddy and Kyler, Max received a train table.  We scored this awesome train set and table on Craigslist!  It came with all the pieces and extra trains.  Max was so excited about it for days!  Even now when he wakes up in the morning and sees his train table it is like he is seeing it for the first time.  And he insists on bringing trains everywhere we go.  Well, trains and his Buzz and Woody.  It makes me so happy that he gets so much joy out of this thing…

He also received this darling book as well as a sticker book from my Grandparents.  It was so thoughtful of them and he absolutely loves it!

Angel Park in the Evening for dinner and cake:

My camera died while we were there so most of these pictures are blurry because they were taken with my phone.

IMG_1156The only time I could get pictures of the kiddos was when they finally stopped playing to eat.  They were playing hard and having so much fun!

Attempting to take a picture with Max… He was too interested in his Toy Story Cake to even look at the camera.

Max got impatient and decided to ditch his fork and grab his entire piece of cake.  It was hilarious!
