October Fun

October is that time of year in Houston when the heat finally starts to let up a little.  The month was filled with park play dates, a play date rotation group that was at our house, lots of playing around the house, a trip to Old McDonalds farm (my first big outing with all three children in tow) and of course Max’s birthday and Halloween (post on that later).

Old MacDonald’s Farm!  We rode the train three times, pet all the stinky nasty animals, played in the dirt mound, and picked out some pumpkins.  We were covered in dirt and sweat and had a blast!

The Big FIVE!!

It happened.  My cute little Max turned five.  I don’t even know where the time has gone.  Words cannot express how much we love him.  Max is my tender hearted boy.  He is always so considerate of others and worries about letting people down.  If he does get in trouble, all we have to do is tell him we are disappointed in him and that is enough.  He has the biggest heart,  always worried about everyone safety and happiness.  Sometimes I worry that he worries too much!  He really is the sweetest boy on earth.  At his check up we found out he is in the 95th percentile for height and weight!  He weighs 50 lbs and is    47” tall.  He is a head taller than everyone in his preschool class and on his soccer team.  Of course Jeremy has high hopes that he will be athletic.  We will see!  Max really enjoys sports so far.  He also has a really good memory!  We love you so much Max!

Max got to celebrate his birthday with his first friend party!  He chose the theme (Batman of course) and got to invite ten friends.  Let me tell you, nine sweaty and wild little boys (a one cute little girl) running around made for an exciting party!  We surprised Max by renting a batman bouncy castle for the party entertainment.  He was so excited to show all of his friends and have them come to HIS party and HIS house.  He seemed so grown up!
