This summer the boys practically excavated our entire backyard digging for bugs. They found worms, slugs, spiders, cockroaches, centipedes, caterpillars, and a few random ones. It was completely disgusting/adorable. They had slug races on the window (eww), fed small bugs to big bugs, and made worm families (a bunch of worms in one jar… Daddy worm, Mommy worm… you get it). So gross but they had a blast and it provided hours upon hours of entertainment.

Jane Ivy Knudsen
This girl. Heavenly Father knew I needed her to get through a very sad time in my life. She has brought so much joy to our family. I know she and I are going to be best friends. We just have to be. I took these early birthday photos in our backyard. I’m no professional but I absolutely adore them all. They capture her adorable, sweet, happy personality. Sweet baby Jane, Oh how we love you so.

Happy Independence Day 7/4/14
We had the perfect day as a family celebrating the fourth of July. Jeremy took the boys to get donuts while Jane took her morning nap. Then we all headed to the gym pool where we practically had the whole pool to ourselves. It was so much fun. And big news… Kyler started to freestyle swim for the first time ever! He has always been to scared but all of a sudden we looked over and he was doing it on his own. We are learning that Kyler cannot be pressured into anything. And has to be in his own time and on his own terms. SO proud of him though that he is finally starting to get it. We ate pizza and slushies at the grill out by the pool and swam for 3 hours. It was a blast. Then we headed home for a yummy dinner of steaks, twice baked potatoes, and watermelon. And for dessert, Texas chocolate sheet cake with bluebell vanilla ice cream. Yummy! The boys headed over to the Petersen’s for fireworks while I stayed home with baby boo so she could sleep. Feeling so blessed for my beautiful family and for the freedom we enjoy.
