Turning Three is a Big Deal

It is.  It really, really is.  Nana is here visiting and we had so much fun this week celebrating Mr.  Max’s third birthday!  We had such a fun birthday party today with all of his little friends (Pictures coming soon).  His actual birthday was on Wednesday the 5th.  It was the perfect little day for a three year old.  We started off the day with Max’s favorite breakfast courtesy of Shipley’s donuts.  They were still warm when we picked them up and Max had THREE of them.  I guess he realized that since he was turning three it was time to man up and eat three donuts?  Then it was off to Old McDonald’s Farm with the Jones and Petersens to feed some animals, ride a horse, ride a train (twice), chase a peacock with his partner in crime, Noah, and pick out a pumpkin.  Afterwards we picked up chicken nugget kids meals for the boys and headed home for naps.  When Jeremy got home from work and the boys were up from their naps, we went to Max’s favorite dinner place, Tin Roof Barbeque (again with the Jones and Petersens).  This place is awesome because we eat on picnic tables outside and the kids get to run around and play on their playground.  After that we came home to open some presents and eat cake.   Phew, I am tired just writing about our day.  It was so exhausting but so much fun and the perfect little day for my Mr. Max.

Max got some awesome presents from family and friends and was super excited about them.  He also got a BIKE!  We were so excited to give it to him because he has been dying for one!  Last week we celebrated Noah’s birthday and when they rolled out a bike for Noah, Max was devastated that it wasn’t for him and just sat down on the ground and bawled his little heart out. So we were so excited to give Max a bike and love how happy it made him.

Prepare yourselves, I took a ton of pictures…

Max woke up to crate paper and balloons to kick off the birthday celebration:

September

September was boring and hot.  The pool is closed and it is still way too hot to play outside.  Max is loving his preschool and I am loving my one on one time with Ky.  It’s amazing how many errands I can get done with just one kiddo.  And Ky is such a great little shopping buddy.  Max is totally loving all his new friends at school.  And it is only two days a week which I love.  I would miss him too much if it was anything more.

I think these are the first pictures EVER of Max and Ky snuggling.  EVER.  I’m talking about the entire 17 months since Kyler was born.  These two really do love each other.  But boy do they fight a lot.  They get on each other’s nerves, tackle, hit, and fight over trains.  But they really do love each other and they are starting to have so much fun playing together now that Kyler is getting older.  Love my boys.

Boys being boys:

Sneak peak for Halloween.  Max is being the pirate but Kyler was cracking me up because he wore the wig for like 10 minutes!

Poor Ky has such a hard time making it through church.  Sundays are hard.  Yay for nursery in a few weeks!

August Happenings

I know.  It’s October.  I created this post 2 months ago and forgot about it.  So I am back tracking.

I love the look of pure joy on Max’s face as he tortures his little brother.  Soon Ky is gonna dish it right back.
