June was pretty repetitive to be totally honest. It is SOO hot that everyday we go to the gym so I can exercise, then we swim, then we come home and play inside. It was fun for a few weeks but man are we burned out on this heat. Ugh and it will be hot till October. We are making the best of it though! Also, Kyler has been wearing his goggles around the house all summer since starting swim lessons back in May. The lessons were off to a rough start for him. The first few lessons he cried through the whole thing. But now he has become more confident and he likes his coaches, coach Darren and coach Emily. Max has also been doing great in his lessons with Coach Darren and he even got to skip a level. He is now learning the backstroke and how to dive.

Parents of the Year 6/25/14
When you tell your boys they can stay up a little late if they quietly read books in their room. And then forget about them till midnight. Oops. Sorry boys!
My Batman 6/23/14
It’s alright to wear Mom’s high heels if you pair it with a batman costume and a snow beanie. Jeremy says they are kicking weapons to take down Joker… Kyler is in the cutest little phase of imaginary games and I am loving every minute of it. Most of them involve him dressing up like Batman.
Happy 10 Years To Us! 6/19/14
Jeremy and I celebrated 10 years of wonderful marriage this year. I’m thankful everyday for him and our beautiful life together. We had fun going on a date to city center in downtown Houston. We grabbed dinner at Grub burger bar, then walked around enjoying a live reggae concert going on in the center. The atmosphere was so fun and relaxing. We finished our fun night off with some yummy white chocolate bread pudding at Ruggles. Happy 10 year Anniversary to us!
Kyler and Mommy Date 6/17/14
For the last year Kyler has been having terrible bowel troubles. I know, that’s not where you thought this post was heading…. but he has. Without getting too much into detail, it has reached the point of being sent to a specialist. So Daddy met us downtown and took Jane and Max home so I could stay with Kyler. The appointment was awful and the “exam” very painful for poor Kyler. He was bawling so hard that he FELL ASLEEP in my arms while I was talking to the doctor afterward. So I carried him to the car and he woke up and was sad. So we decided to turn our alone time into a date since it was already dinner time by the time we got out of downtown. Kyler wanted to go to Chuy’s of course. And then we hit up our favorite Tutti Fruity for some ice cream. We had the best time. Kyler told me all about his little life. Mostly about his half real/half imaginary friend Alex. But I could tell he just felt so important while he was talking and had my undivided attention. This boy knows just how to tug on my heart strings. Despite his forced smile below, he was having a blast.
Sometimes you have to skip the gym and get donuts instead 6/11/14
This last year I have really worked hard to lose my baby weight and just be healthy. This means we go to the gym a lot. The boys have fun playing and have lots of friends there, but lately they have gotten burned out on it. We were on the way to the gym and the boys just did not want to go. So I pulled into the donut shop instead and made their whole day. Doesn’t take much to make these boys happy. We had the best morning eating donuts in one of the booths and watching all the “big kids” riding in on their bikes to get donuts. Max thought they were really cool and had to say hi to all of them. Kyler picked a bright blue donut covered in sprinkles, Max wanted just plain glazed, so them. Jane enjoyed her first donut, but was NOT happy about her sticky hands afterward. Such a girl. Love my littles.
