We {heart} the Holidays

Seriously, I think Jeremy will tell you I am obsessed with the holidays.  Maybe a little TOO obsessed.  As if there is such a thing?  This holiday season we had a blast!  Max completely fell in love with all things Christmas and I loved every minute of it!

MAX (and Ky’s) top 5 Christmas Faves:

1.  Kenny and Dolly

Probably my favorite part of the whole season is that Max fell in love with this Kenny and Dolly CD.  Okay, I grew up listening to this album and so every year I listen to it.  Which means every year Jeremy “gets to” listen to it.  He thinks it is the most annoying Christmas music ever.  But THIS year he was out numbered!! Max absolutely loved it too!  Every time we would get into the car he would ask for it and then he would tell me “Dance Mommy.  Dance!”  Then he would dance too.  We would also dance around the house almost every day to Christmas music.  I loved every minute of it.

2.  MOVIES!! This was the first year that Max cared about Christmas movies.  He loved pretty much every Christmas movie we have!  Both newer Christmas movies and the classics.  So much fun!

3. Driving around to look at Christmas lights.  He wanted to do this almost every night.  He also thought his dad was da bomb for putting lights on our house.

4.  All things Santa!  Max loved talking about Santa, watching movies with Santa in them, and asking me questions about Santa and reindeer.

5.  Our house decked out for Christmas.  I go all out for Christmas every year.  But this year was just the most magical Christmas ever because of Max and his excitement.  He loved the Christmas tree and all the decor around the house.  All month long he would point at everything and tell me it was pretty.  Love him.

Christmas shopping at the mall.  We actually had gone with the intention of seeing Santa, but that went out the door when we realized there was a two hour wait.  At 1030 in the morning.  Fortunately we got Max a shake and he forgot all about Santa.

Christmas concert at the Second Baptist Church.

Wow.  This concert was amazing!!  This church puts on a kids concert and I swear it is like out of High School musical or something.  It was a combination of singing and a puppet show and we laughed so hard! It was VERY entertaining!! They used familiar pop songs to sing songs about the Christmas story and it was so funny!  The adults liked it just as much as the children!  We went with our good friends the Petersens and had a blast.

Ky was absolutely captivated by this show.  He watched from his stroller and loved it!

Moon Gazing

Mr. Max now has a major obsession with the moon.  He asks to go outside just to see it.  He yells “THE MOON!!  Mommy? You see da moon?!!”  It cracks us up!  So one night we went outside and sat on our driveway for a bit to stare at the moon =)

We had such a wonderful holiday season.  We got to do lots of fun activities and had some great opportunities to serve others and remember the reason for the season.

WE {heart} THE HOLIDAYS!

Glad you guys had a good time for the holidays. That's so cute that Max was so into it this year. Bentley wasn't as much as I thought she would be. Such cute pictures.
