2 Infinity and Beyond!

I FINALLY have time to blog about my Max and his special birthday a few weeks ago.  I can’t believe he is TWO!  He is our little fire cracker and we love him so much!

My Mom was able to come out for Max’s birthday and we had so much fun!  It was really nice to have family here for his birthday and Max loved spending time with his Nana.  For his special day we thought it would be fun for Max and few of his little friends to go to Jumpin’ Joeys.  It was very last minute, but I really wanted him to have a fun day.  And boy did he…. we partied HARD and he was completely exhausted by the time the day was over.   So we started off the day at Jumpin’ Joeys.  It’s a fun place that has all these inflatable bouncy house type things.  Max was in HEAVEN.  I took tons of pictures, but they all turned out blurry because he couldn’t contain himself long enough to hold still.  He had a blast!  After that we picked him up a kids meal from McDonalds and headed home for a nap.  Jeremy was able to work from home that day, so after Max woke up we opened up presents.  Max was spoiled by all our family and friends!  He was so animated about every single present he got and yelled “WOA!” as he opened them up.  Later that evening we met a few friends at the park for dinner and cake.  It was very last minute, and I know I said I was going to keep his birthday low key, but I just couldn’t help myself.  It was such a beautiful day.  Max had a blast running around with all of his friends and eating pizza and cake.  And he was totally excited that his cake, balloons, and even plates were all Toy Story.  Happy Happy Birthday Max!!!

Opening up presents:

His Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen gave him this orange dump truck and the darling “Top Dog” shirt he is wearing in the pic.  He has so much fun driving both the dump truck and bus around our house, up the stairs, and around the backyard.

Noah and Tayla gave him this yellow bus.  And Addy and Lyla gave him a Buzz and Woody.  It worked out perfectly because now Buzz and Woody go for rides in the bus all day long :-)

My parents gave him this sweet Toy Story Tent.  He loves hiding in it.  It has been the perfect back yard toy too.

And from his Mommy, Daddy and Kyler, Max received a train table.  We scored this awesome train set and table on Craigslist!  It came with all the pieces and extra trains.  Max was so excited about it for days!  Even now when he wakes up in the morning and sees his train table it is like he is seeing it for the first time.  And he insists on bringing trains everywhere we go.  Well, trains and his Buzz and Woody.  It makes me so happy that he gets so much joy out of this thing…

He also received this darling book as well as a sticker book from my Grandparents.  It was so thoughtful of them and he absolutely loves it!

My camera died while we were there so most of these pictures are blurry because they were taken with my phone.

Attempting to take a picture with Max… He was too interested in his Toy Story Cake to even look at the camera.

Max got impatient and decided to ditch his fork and grab his entire piece of cake.  It was hilarious!

September Came and Went

And now October has done the same!  I just can’t seem to keep up with this blog as much as I would like.  As my friend Katie says, “sometimes I have to choose between living life and blogging about it”.  We have been living life and playing hard!  Our weather has been beautiful and so we have spent many of our days at the park, pumpkin patch, going jogging/walking, and other fun things.  So as usual, here are a bunch of pictures from September.  And soon I’m sure I will be doing a “bunch of pictures from October” post.

Friends have become really important to Max.  When his bff Noah is over, Max wants to be a big boy and play with his friend in his bedroom or outside without me!  He doesn’t want me to be there… like he is a big boy who doesn’t want his Mommy around to embarrass him.  I think it is so funny.

Baby K is such a happy and smiley boy!  He just melts my heart with his little smiles.  And he has learned to grab my face with his hands to pull me in for kisses.  It’s just about the cutest thing ever.

Sometimes I think Max is a little OCD.  As soon as he could reach the door handles he would walk around each day shutting doors that people had left open.  Now he also is weird about his blocks.  He goes through the big pile and pulls out all the flat ones and all the square ones and lines them in a “V”.  Weirdo.

We love bath time around here.  And I just can’t seem to get enough pictures of my Chubbsters after his baths.  I just want to squeeze him!

Max is TWO!!

Happy Happy Birthday to the cutest little two year old around! We had such a wonderful day today celebrating with him.  Here are a few pictures of Max enjoying his birthday cake!

I’m in shock in this picture because Max totally ditched his fork when I wasn’t looking to shove the whole thing in his mouth!  He wasn’t wasting any time.

All these pictures reminded me of his one year old photo shoot with his birthday cake.  I still laugh when I see this picture.  I can’t believe how much he has grown from one year ago when we had these done!

My BIG boy!

IMG_0865

I can’t believe my baby is turning TWO on Tuesday!  No more counting his age in months.  Now it’s years!  I don’t know where the time has gone!  It has been such a wonderful two years.  Max has brought us so much joy.  He makes us laugh every day and we love him to pieces!  I was looking at him today as we were watching General Conference and I am blown away at the little boy he has become.  He used to be so chunky with the cutest fat rolls up his arms and legs.  Now those rolls are gone and he is a big boy.

Here is what Max is up to:

  • He is sweaty all the time from playing so hard
  • He burps and then follows it up with “Ewww” and a giggle
  • He thinks it is hilarious to fake sneeze…. “Ah Ah Ah…. Ah Chooo!”
  • He responds “No Way” instead of No.  I have NO IDEA how he learned this!

Me:  “Max do you want some chicken nuggets?”

Max: “No Way!”

Me: “how about some string cheese?”

Max: “Now Way!”

Me: “Do you want to go outside?”

Max “No Way! Yeah.”

  • He loves to jump.  Anytime he is walking down a long hall he takes forever because he walks a few steps, then jumps, walks a few steps, then jumps.  It’s pretty funny to watch because he looks so proud of himself.
  • He is constantly saying “Open. Close” while he opens and then closes cupboards, doors, really anything.
  • He learned to pop off the child locks and unlock our doors!  Fortunately all doors that lead outside beep when they are opened.  So if I hear the “beep beep beep” I know to start running after Max because he literally takes off running.  Now we have a new child proof door knob that he hasn’t figured out yet.  I give it a week.
  • He likes to sit on the table chairs like a big boy
  • His favorite movies right now are “memums” (Alvin and the Chipmunks), Up, Polar Express, Mickey Mouse, Toy Story,
  • He loves to march and is constantly asking Jeremy and I to march around the kitchen with him.
  • He loves to play with trains, cars, airplanes, tractors, etc.  When he does he always has the sound effects… crashing, airplane sounds, choo choo, etc.
  • He is still the PICKIEST eater I have ever seen.  Every now and then he will eat a good meal.  It always makes me feel like such an accomplished mother when I finally get him to eat a good nutritious meal.
  • He loves to color
  • He loves listening to music in the car.  His playlist includes Black Eyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, “Mercy” by Duffy, and “Forever” by Chris Brown.  As soon as we get into the car he wants me to put on his music and he starts to dance.  It’s hilarious!
  • Now that the weather has cooled off he wants to play outside all day.  We go walking in the morning and as soon as we get home he wants to go straight to the backyard to play.  I love when I make him stop for lunch because he is totally sweaty, dirty, and out of breath.
  • Friends have become really important to him.  His BFF is Noah and he asks to play with him every day!  Sometimes when I tell him we can’t he cries.
  • He is hitting the terrible 2’s right on time!  He has just recently started throwing tantrums and being extra mischievous.  He isn’t too bad though.  And for the most part I think it is funny.
  • He gives me snuggles on the couch every single morning and every night.  I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this little boy.  He is a lot of energy but he has so much personality and is so much fun!
  • Max loves playing in bath.  Especially splashing and playing with boats.

  • I know it is mean to take this picture but I couldn’t help it!  He had totally woke up ornery and had awesome bed head.

I really can’t believe my baby is turning 2.  I don’t think we could love this boy any more than we do.  And I think I might cry on Tuesday.  Just a little.
