Field Trip at Old MacDonald’s Farm

A few weeks ago I got to go with Max and his class on a field trip to Old MacDonald Farm.  Max of course loved it.  We have been there before but it had a while.  Max and Noah loved petting the animals, having lunch with their classes, picking out a pumpkin, getting dirty in the sand pile, and riding the train 3 times.  My favorite part was watching them play in the sand pile.  It is this big mound of sand and the boys got as dirty and a boy could possibly get; making “snow angles” and rolling down the pit like it was a hill of grass.  You can imagine the amount of dirt I found in Max’s hair, ears, and every other surface of his body when he got in the bath later.  But it was a blast!

Riding the train:

And while Max and I were at the farm, Kyler was playing in the mud with his bff Lyla.  This picture just makes me laugh!

Birthday Getaways!

This year Crystal and I decided to work out a weekend trade for our hubby’s birthdays.  Jeremy and Nate’s birthdays are only 2 days apart so it worked out perfectly!  The first weekend in November we watched Tayla and Noah while they went away.  Then the following weekend they watched our boys while we went away to Lake Travis for the weekend.  Here are some pictures from both weekends.

Our weekend tending went a little something like this:  Max and Noah loved sharing a bed.  They also loved waking up at 5 am to watch cartoons.  I took Max, Noah and Tayla to see the new movie Wreck it Ralf, which we all loved!  And all the kiddos had a blast playing outside for hours.  It was pretty wild but lots of fun!

Jeremy and I had a blast on our weekend getaway to Lake Travis.  We stayed at a lodge that was right on the lake.  It had amazing views which we loved, but had a billion spiders out on the deck which was terrifying.  Seriously.  We loved stopping at our favorite Buc-ees gas station for some fudge, beef jerky, buc-ee nuggets, and other homemade treats on the way.  We enjoyed eating at darling little cafĂ©’s along Lake Travis, sleeping in, seeing the new James Bond movie, and shopping at the Outlets in San Marcos.  We were horrible at taking pictures, but here are a few from our balcony at the lodge.  We had a blast!

Halloween Happenings

Preschool Halloween Party:

One of my very favorite things about school is how much Max LOVES when I come to his class parties.  He is so excited to introduce me to his little friends, have me eat lunch with him, and give me a million hugs and kisses; Always telling me how happy he is that I came to be with him.  It melts my heart every. single. time.  and I hope he never outgrows it.  Max loved walking in the costume parade.  But by the time the party actually started, he wanted out of his “sweaty” costume.

Trick or Treating:

On Halloween we went over to the Jones’s for a cookout.  We had a yummy dinner of Caleb’s smoked Ribs, along with some yummy twice baked potatoes, salad and other sides.  Then we all headed off trick or treating.  The children all had a blast together running from door to door.
