We did it! Max is officially potty trained and doing great! About a month ago I decided we were going to do it. So my friend watched Kyler for the day so that I could devote all my energy toward Max. I had read about the whole potty party thing in the “potty train your child in one day” book. It actually worked! By the end of that day he was telling me when he needed to go and using the potty for all his business ;-) Of course we have still had a few accidents here and there, and he got sick the week after potty training which set us back a bit. But he is doing great now. I am so proud of him!
Of course we had to do a Thomas the train theme party. He thought it was totally awesome! We started out the first day using the little red potty, but he decided he wanted to use just the regular big potty. Which works out sooo nice for me! YAY MAX!!!
Max's potty chart! Joshua is his little friend who also learned to use the potty that day. The first few hours of potty training we spent teaching Joshua how to use the potty. After a bit Max took over potty training Joshua lol. Telling him not to go on the floor or in his underwear. And then rewarding him with a treat when Joshua did it right. Once Joshua had it down it was Max's turn to start trying! It was an exhausting day but he did so good!
Potty prizes! Most of them were candy and little dollar store items. Some of the bigger prizes were Thomas movies, a Kai-lan coloring book, and a new train.
Special potty drinks
Practicing with his new little friend Joshua :-)
Coloring with his new potty prize, waiting till he needed to go potty again.
Getting a potty drink. His new undies look so stinkin cute!![]()
He threw away his diapers! No more baby diapers for this boy!![]()
Lovely. He learned quickly that we do NOT play with toilet paper :-)![]()
