Kyler’s First Photo shoot!

My talented friend Kelsey took these pictures for us when Kyler was six days old.  We just got them back yesterday and I love them! 

This is the ONLY picture we could get of the whole family <sigh>.  Max was still adjusting to the baby and absolutely refused to even sit next to him.  The only way we even got this picture was to let him eat fruit snacks.  Oh well.  At least he is looking at the camera.  And we got a lot of darling pictures of baby Kyler!

 

   

    

 

Kelsey also came to my home one morning to take some pictures of me and the boys in our PJ’s. She took them in my bedroom using the natural light from the windows and I love them!

So we attempted yet again to get some pictures of Max with Kyler.  See below how it looks like he is kissing Kyler?  Well, we fooled you.  We were actually playing a game of “eat the fruit snack without using your hands” haha. 

  

See the fruit snack on Kyler’s head?  Yes, we are awesome.

And this one?  He is picking up the fruit snack that fell off of Kyler:)  But I like to imagine that he is looking lovingly at his new baby brother lol.

Hangin’ Out

 

Here are some random pictures from the last few weeks.  I am happy to report that Max is doing better with Kyler.  We have been able to get a few more pictures of the two boys together, and Max no longer tries to ignore the baby.  He has actually become much sweeter towards Kyler.  He tells me when the baby is crying and he gives the baby kisses on the head before bedtime. 

One thing Max does that is hilarious to us, is he tries to “bust” Kyler.  Kyler still has his hands in fists like most newborns frequently do.  Well sometimes Max notices this and tries to fist bust him and yells “Boom” as he does it.  Also, he thinks it is funny that baby Kyler has a belly button like his:)

Weight: 9 lbs 15oz

Height: 21 7/8”

Max likes to just chill on this stair for some reason.  He is so full of personality it cracks me up!

Our first week

Our first week with Kyler has been so wonderful.  I already feel like I can’t imagine our lives with out him and I am enjoying all the snuggles! 

My parents came out to help for a week.  The timing actually worked out perfectly because they got here the night before I was induced.  Max had a lot of fun with his nana and papa while I was in the hospital.  Even though I missed him, it was so nice to not have to worry about him while we were away.  My parents were extremely helpful and we were so grateful to have them here.  Thanks for everything Mom and Dad!

Max is warming up to Kyler… sort of.  For the most part he purposely ignores him.  We tell him to come say hi to the baby and he just looks the other way.  He also has decided he wants Daddy to do everything.  It’s like I betrayed him and so he is punishing me lol.  It makes me a little sad but I know it will get better.  I was sad we were not able to get a single picture at the hospital of Max with Kyler.  This is the ONE picture we have been able to get so far of Max with Kyler.  He sat close for about a minute and then he was done:)  So it’s an adjustment.

 

Kyler bought Max a doggy to try and get on his good side.  Max loves it!

Max is also taking care of Kyler’s doggy until Kyler gets older.
