Playing Around

My friend Crystal gave Kyler this DARLING froggy hat.  I think it will always be special to me because it is one of the few new things that I got just for Kyler.  We of course already had everything we could possibly need for another boy.  But this hat is sentimental.  Sooo…  Crystal and I decided to play around and take some pictures of Kyler in his froggy hat before he outgrew it.  He is 7 weeks old in these pictures.  I know it is completely ridiculous to post this many of him in the same hat, but I absolutely love them all so deal with it haha.

 

 

      

Picture Fest

It seems like every time I FINALLY getting around to doing a post I have a million pictures.  This post is no exception.  And now that we are back from Utah, I have even more pictures.  But before I can post those, here are some updates and pictures from JUNE:

Maxeroo:

• He is obsessed with blowing bubbles and yells really loud “bubbles!! bubbles!!”
• He loves playing with cars, balls, blocks, and pretending to talk on the phone
• He learned how to open all our doors!  Yikes!  So if you use the bathroom at our house consider this your warning:  Lock the door!
• He asks to watch Lilo and Stitch every day.  It is his favorite movie.
• Our favorite words he can say right now are “cookie”, “yeah”, and “couch” because he tries really hard to say the “ch” but it sounds pretty jumbled lol.
• I taught him how to kill spiders for mommy with his shoe haha.
• He has started correctly pronouncing many words now.  It seems like everyday he says new things
• He is bruised all the time from running and falling. 
• He slammed his thumb in the door back in March.  The black finger nail finally fell off last week.
• He is the messiest eater I have ever seen.  But I think it is pretty funny most of the time.
• He makes us laugh EVERY single day.
• He is loud and has a ton of energy!
• His favorite spot to play is inside the cupboards

 

 

  

Ky Baby: 

• He started smiling and cooing a few weeks ago.  It melts my heart.
• He learned how to kick and splash in the tub
• He is still a little fussy in the evenings, but that is getting better
• He loves getting snuggles from his Mommy and Daddy.  I know…. don’t all babies?
• He has the BIGGEST POUTY FACE I have ever seen!! Chin quivering, lips pouting,… the whole bit.  I have a feeling he is going to get away with a lot by using this tactic alone.
• His hair is finally growing back.  He had quite a bit fall out and so for a while he looked like this:

 

2 Month Stats

Yesterday I took Kyler to his 2 month check up.  I took these with my phone while we were waiting.  I guess he didn’t know he was about to get shots because he was pretty smiley:)

    

Weight: 12 lbs 15 oz (80th Percentile)  

Height: 23 and 5/8” (80th Percentile)                 

Head Circ: 15 and 7/8” (60th Percentile)

It has been so fun to have baby Kyler around and to notice how different my boys are from each other.  Kyler has really long and skinny arms, legs, fingers and toes.  Max has always had chubby everything:)  Although Kyler is starting to pork up so maybe that will change.  Kyler also has darker skin and lighter hair then Max.  He also has the cutest little pointy chin. 

Kyler was moved upstairs to his crib and started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old.  Right now he sleeps from 10:30pm till about 7am.  I think he is close to dropping the 10:30 feeding.  He still seems to be a little gassy and fussy in the evenings.  But that seems to be getting a little better.

Max has started to really love his brother.  When I get Max in the morning the first thing he does after giving me a kiss is to ask where the baby is.  The other day Kyler was crying and I saw Max trying to share his sippy of milk with him.  Max has also held Kyler’s hand a few times in the car.  He is such a sweet big brother.  I am relieved that Max finally seems to be adjusting to all the changes. 

That’s about all I have to update on Ky.  We are going to Utah this week for my brother’s wedding and we are so excited!  A plane ride with two kids should be interested.  Hopefully we survive!

POOL FUN!!!

     

Gassy but great!

That pretty much sums up our last 2 weeks… Kyler has been really gassy lately and so he has become a little bit fussy.  But other than we are all doing great!  Max is very tender and sweet with his little brother now.  And of course Max is just the happiest little boy as usual.  Jeremy and I are also doing great.  Even though I now have very little time for myself, I absolutely love my boys and love my life.  Nuff said.

Jeremy’s parents came out to visit a few weeks ago and we had a blast!  They were super helpful and we loved having them here.  Max had soooo much fun with “Nama and Dampa”.

We were able to do a few fun things while they here.  This is a video taken of Max while we were eating dinner at Chuys.  Max is multitasking in it to say the least.  In one hand he is holding Jeremy’s iphone to watch Ni Hao Kai Lan, in the other hand he is feeding himself rice.  Oh and he is also dancing to the loud Hispanic music.  He does this little shoulder thing that is flippin hilarious.

Kyler’s first bath a few weeks ago.  His cord fell off when he was only a few days old.  I just love bath pictures!
