Max and Ollie…. Ollie and Max

As much as I would love to get rid of our cat, I have to admit it is really fun to watch Max with him.  They are the best of friends.  Every morning when I bring Max downstairs Ollie comes out from hiding to greet him.  Max excitedly yells “Kitty Cat” and walks over to do a full on body plant on top of the cat.  He pets him and gives him kisses.  Then he starts his play/torture of the cat.  He continually tries to hug the cat and frequently I find Max has the cat in a head lock so he can point out his “eye”, “no” (nose), and “ear”.  Once Ollie has had enough he runs away.  I feel kinda bad for Ollie, but I figure if he didn’t like Max he wouldn’t come out to greet him each morning and willingly subject himself to this torture.  And as much as I would love to be cat free, it is dang funny to watch them together.  Now I’m stuck because I can’t get rid of Max’s best friend.

One of my favorite things they do is play in the backyard together.  Whenever I open the back door for Max to go out and play Ollie is right behind him.  The cat pretty much just runs all over the yard (playfully) while Max tries to chase him.  Max is never fast enough to catch Ollie, but it seems like a pretty fun game for the both of them.  Max always laughs hysterically when he just about catches up but then Ollie jumps to run away.  They will literally play this game for an hour:)

Here you go Paige:)

Per your request, here is a preggo picture of me at 32 weeks.  I am now finishing up week 33 and feeling pretty good!  There are many things about being pregnant that I really enjoy.  When I am pregnant most of my insecurities about my body go away.  I love my bump.  I love watching it move like crazy:)  But I have to admit, I am starting to feel like I am ready to be done.  I am ready for my heartburn and uncomfortable sleep to go away.  But mostly, I am just excited to see Kyler.  I feel like I just miss him and I can’t wait to hold him.  Only 7 more weeks!  Actually if I am being honest, I am hoping he will come 2 weeks early so that I only have 5 more weeks left.  Max came 2 weeks early so I can wish for that again right?

Back in Business

Our camera has been broken and so I have not put any recent pictures in a while.  Now we have a new camera and are back in business!  But first I am going to play catch up.  I have a TON of pictures from our old camera to post.  Also, some of them were taken with my iphone so the quality isn’t that great.

I pulled out a book Max hadn’t seen in a while and he was super excited to see it!  His facial expressions almost look fake!  It was really funny because every time he pushed the button it would play “Silent Night” and Max would give us this awesome face:)

I am pretty sure that most of our February pictures of Max he looks abused!  Because we had such beautiful weather we played outside almost every day.  With all that hard playing came many injuries.  I swear for the entire month he had two awful bruises on his forehead and a scab on his chin.  Everywhere we went people were asking me what happened to him.  I promise I don’t beat my child!

The only way I could get him to hold still so I could get a picture was to give him a sip of my drink.  I know…. I’m bad.

One day during his nap I was eating some carrots and ranch dip.  Well, I accidently left it on the coffee table for a minute and came back to this:

Baby Kyler

We have officially decided the baby’s name  is Kyler.  At first, it was just a name we both liked.  Ok, it was the ONLY name we could even agree on.  But now Max kisses my belly and says “awww… baby Ky”.  So of course I love the name now!  I love how sweet Max is with my belly.  I know he probably doesn’t know what he is doing, but I like to think he just misses his little brother and wants him to come play:)

We had two 3d ultrasounds the last few weeks.  The first one Kyler’s hands and feet were covering his face and he refused to cooperate.  So they let us come back last week and we got some great shots.  We watched him yawn a few times and even caught the end of a smile.  Now I just feel like I miss him and I can’t wait to snuggle him!

I think his nose and lips look like Max.  I really love this first one.  He looks so sweet!

More Help Fellow Bloggers… PLEASE!

I am trying to make my blog into a book using blurb.com.  I know some of you left comments saying you have done this, so I need your help!  I must be really dumb because this has turned out being harder than I thought:)

So here is my problem:

I “slurped” my blog.  However, none of the pictures are with their descriptions.  For example, when I blog many of my pictures have a description underneath them.  When I “slurped” my blog the descriptions are not by the pictures.  In fact I don’t even see a layout that allows me to keep the descriptions with the pictures.  Does this mean I have to edit every single post???

Help!

In the Spirit of Football:

Jeremy is so proud Max learned his first football word.  Max’s training has already begun.

For those of you without football crazy husbands, Mike Ditka coached the Chicago Bears.  Da Bears:)

The second half of the video is Max enjoying a Birthday card from Grandma.  It has been months and the card finally died this week.

My Little Big Boy

All of a sudden I am realizing my little boy isn’t so little!

photo (5)

He LOVES being outdoors.  He could play outside all day if I would let him and he cries when I make him come in.

photo (3) photo (4)

After he plays outside he smells like a little boy instead of a baby!

He loves dogs and airplanes.

He thinks it is fun to chase the cat.

He has discovered how fun it is to unroll toilet paper, take things out of the trash, and put just about anything into the bathtub. If I am missing something (a shoe, hairbrush, etc) chances are it is in the bath tub.

He is now Mr. Independent.  He wants to do everything himself.  Especially when it comes to eating and brushing his teeth.

He can say quite a few words now.  Although I’m sure we are the only ones that can understand most of them.  My favorite are “Kitty cat”, “tickle tickle”, “all done”, “bye” and “ready, set, GO!”

He thinks it is funny to fake sneeze.

He calls us “Mom” and “Dad” now.  No longer Ma Ma or Mommy.  Mom.  It is still really cute though.

He yells out an ecstatic “Hi Mom!” when I get him in the mornings.  It makes me smile every time.

He tries to count.  He knows two comes after one, but after that he just makes noises that sound like he is counting.  He has started counting in the mornings when he wakes up.  It’s really funny to listen to on the monitor:)

He loves practicing his animal sounds.

He still sleeps for 13-14 hours at night.  On the flip side, he only naps for about 1 1/2 hours during the day.

He has 12 teeth!  He has discovered how much easier eating is with molars.

In the car he bobs his head to the beat of the music.  I don’t know how he picked up that one.  Do I do it while driving lol?  His favorite is Black Eyed Peas.

He closes every single door behind us.  If the pantry or any other door is left open, it is his first item of business before he does anything else.

He also likes to shut himself into the pantry, my bedroom, and closet and then I hear him quietly laugh.  If I don’t find him after a while he starts knocking on the door.

Basically, Max is keeping us on our toes!  I love this stage he is in.  It is a lot of work, but also a ton of fun!!!
