Max watching American Idol with mommy. He likes to be a big boy in his bumbo.

My sleepy boy

Close up anyone?

I tried taking a picture of us in the mirror. It didn't really work because I was trying to hold him and take the picture. He decided he had enough.

Risky Business?

Look out Tom Cruise.

Max had his four month check up yesterday afternoon. I was helping hold/hug the top half of him during his shots. He was talking and smiling at me when the nurse gave the first shot. He just howled and looked at me like "Mom, why did you let her do that?" He was pitiful the rest of the evening and today. Although, secretly I loved how snuggly he was. He was still a little sad this afternoon....
Max was right at the 50th percentile for height, weight and head circumference. Perfect! Here are his stats:

Weight:14lbs 11oz
Height:25 in
Head Circ: 16 3/4

OK journal time. Some of the things Max is up to....

1- Sleeps through the night! I have a few friends that have babies the same age as Max so please don't hate me when you read this:) Max started sleeping six hours a night at six weeks old. He now sleeps from 8 to 8. Such a good boy! He still cat naps during the day though. For the most part his naps are only 30-45 min. Oh well. I'll take night sleep over naps any day of the week.

2- He is trying to roll over. He gets to his side and kicks the top leg like crazy to try and get over but that dang arm gets in the way.

3-He eats rice cereal. We started him a few days ago. He still doesn't actually swallow very much of it but he sure has fun.

"Yum"

4-He still loves bath time. Every time I lay him in the bath he starts kicking like crazy and has this serious look on his face like he is concentrating.

5-He snuggles mommy in the mornings. Almost every morning after he wakes up, we get back in my bed and snuggle for a little bit before I feed him. It is the best part of my day!

6- Playing with Daddy when he gets home from work. He always saves his biggest giggles for Jeremy.

7- Talking. He talks loudly all day long. It is fun at home but boy is he loud in church. Not because he is fussy, but because he just wants to talk the whole time. Here he is telling me he is not a big fan of tummy time.

8-Watching the kitty cat. He has just recently become aware of our cat Ollie. He likes to watch the cat whenever Ollie is in the same room.

9- Playing with mom's hair. He likes to gently hold my hair in his hand while I feed or snuggle him.

10- Giggling. He seems to laugh the most when I am undressing him. The boy likes to be naked what can I say?

Four months old?!

I can't believe my baby is already four months old. Where has all the time gone? I know four months isn't that long, but he has changed so much! My friend Melinda did this tag and I wanted to do it. I am not very diligent in my journal keeping and I thought this would be a good way to remember becoming parents....

1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At my house
2- Who was with you? by myself
3- How did you find out that you were pregnant? Preggo test, confirmed with a blood test
4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? Shock followed by tears and laughter! I decided to take one while Jeremy was at work. I figured it would be negative and then I could move on. I did the test and walked away for a minute while it was "deciding". I totally forgot about it! About an hour later I remembered so I went to check on it and it was positive!!! I just stared for a minute. Then I even grabbed the instructions and held the test up to it and just stared some more. I couldn't believe it was positive! I just sat in the bathroom and cried, laughed, and cried some more:)
5- Who was the first person you told? My friend Crystal Petersen. I found out in the morning and wanted to wait till Jeremy got home to surprise him. Plus my infertility Dr. wanted me to come in for a blood test right then. So I showed up on Crystals door step and the second she opened the door she knew I was pregnant! We just sat there both crying and laughing some more LOL. I feel a little bad Jeremy wasn't the first to know... but I was DYING to tell someone:)

6-Did you plan to get pregnant? Yes. We had been doing infertility treatments for what felt like forever!
7-Was everybody happy for you? Yes. Every time I got to tell someone I was pregnant it was so fun.
8- Did you go out and celebrate? We went out to TGI Fridays and then straight to Babies R US haha!
9- Did you want to find out the sex? Of course!
10- What was the sex? Boy for sure ;-)

11-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Yes...5
12- If yes, who? My family, Jeremy's Aunts in Salt Lake, my parents home ward, Kendall/Katie for my friends in Utah, Crystal/Kelsey/Jen/Shanta for my friends in Texas and a mini shower in Tahoe with my mother in law's side. I am soooo spoiled!
13- How much weight did you gain? 45lbs

14- Did you lose all of the weight that you gained? Not yet. My baby is only 4 mo.
15- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? define alot.
16- What did you crave the most? Chocolate slim fasts and bean burritos from Taco bell (hence the 45 lbs weight gain)
17- Who or what got on your nerves the most? Probably my husband through no fault of his own. He was very sweet and considerate through my whole pregnancy. Love you babe!
18- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Yes. It was a twin pregnancy. The rest was smooth though.
19- Where were you when you went into labor? Cleaning during the Saturday general conference session. I was in labor most of the day. Around 8pm my contractions had been 5 min apart for an hour so we went to the hospital.
20- Did your water break? No. The Dr. on call broke it in the hospital
21- Who drove you to the hospital? Jeremy. I was worried I wasn't really in labor and that they would send me home. But on the way to the hospital they started hurting really bad. I was in pain during the contractions and then I would laugh in between because I couldn't believe I was actually in labor. (I know I'm weird) I was a 5 so they admitted me.
22- Did you go early or late? 12 days early. Max new the way to mommy's heart.
23- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? Just Jeremy. My mom was able to catch a flight and arrived about 5 hours after he was born.

24- Was it video taped? No
25- Did you have any drugs for the pain? Epidural
26-Did you go Natural or have a c-section? Natural
27- What was your first reaction after giving birth? Pure amazement. I just couldn't believe he was mine.

28- Did your Husband cry? No, but he was choked up.
29- What did you name the baby? Max James

30- Did the baby have any complications? Not really. The cord was around his neck during delivery so the Dr. quickly cut it and he was fine.
31- How old is your baby today? 4 months old today!!

32- When is the next one coming? Not sure. If only I had a crystal ball....
33-If you could, would you do it all over again? Of course.

What's so funny?

Last night a few of our friends babysat Max so Jeremy and I could go on a date. We got him home and Jeremy was about to change his diaper when Max started laughing like crazy. We FINALLY were able to record him laughing! Never mind the fact that Jeremy and I sound like complete idiots. And the fact that Jeremy asks him "What's so funny?" about a million times LOL.

I have been informed by my husband that it isn't really blogging when all I do is post a bunch of pictures of Max with short explanations underneath them. So, in an effort to become a TRUE blogger I am just going to talk on and on about the things that are going on in my life..... Just kidding. I hate to break it to you all, but you can pretty much guarantee that when you click on the link to my blog, you will see endless pictures of baby Max. I am a little obsessed with him and think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread ;)

I forgot to post this picture from his two month check up. He was pretty happy while I took this picture of his band-aids, but he was really quite pitiful the rest of that day. I have to admit I loved how cuddly he was though. His stats were 12lbs 12oz and 23in. He was right in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. Jeremy says average, I say perfect LOL.

I have been a major slacker but I finally got our Christmas tree taken down this weekend. It has provided Max with endless entertainment so I am a little sad it is gone. I considered leaving it up all year to keep him occupied but I don't think Jeremy would have agreed to it.

Watchin' football with Daddy

Ok, so I know that right on the front of this Bumbo (bottom left) is a warning not to put your child on a raised surface, but being the parents of the year we not only did it, but I am now posting it on our blog for everyone to see. This was a Christmas present from my grandma and Grandpa Fullmer. He loves it! In my defense, he was only up there for about a minute and I was standing right in front of him the whole time I swear!

This kid just ate 9 ounces tonight. 9 OUNCES!!! I promise I do buy him clothes that fit. See...

Merry Christmas!!

ok, ok, I'll do a post.....I've had quite a few people comment that I haven't posted in a while. If you recall when I started the blog a few months ago I warned that I wouldn't be a very faithful blogger:) I guess I am already losing steam! We were able to go home to Utah for Christmas. It was just a short visit but we sure had fun! We have a million pictures and somehow Max ended up in almost every one of them LOL. So prepare yourself for a massive post....

Happy first Christmas Max!!

Uncle Jesse took this pic. It makes me smile because he just looks so bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Here he is minutes later mid sneeze. I know it is a gross picture and you can actually SEE snot, but it was just too funny!
Grandpa babysat Max one evening. I'm not sure who looks like they are having the most fun:)

Max with cousin Sadie. Neither one looks too sure about it!
We stayed at my parents house. He loved his baths Nana gave him in the sink!
We blessed Max in my parents ward while we were in town. It was really small with just immediate family present. It was a beautiful blessing and he was so good. Jeremy said he peeked down at him at one point and Max popped his binkie out to smile at everyone in the circle. What a cute boy!

My parents with Max after his blessing.
Hanging out with Gramma
J-Dawg and Loola. I'm not sure who loved holding Max more.

The rest of the pictures from our trip home will have to go in a slide show because I am running out of room and I don't have time to post them all. But we had so much fun with both of our families. We loved spending time with you all and I have to admit, I still get a little teary when our plane takes off back to Houston. We love you all
